About Macroji
Macroji is a free, browser-based tool for people who already track their macros and are tired of doing the gram math by hand. Set your targets once. Log what you eat. The tool tells you the optimal grams of the foods you want next, or ranks combinations from a 1,500-food database that fit what you have left for the day.
It is built for serious trackers — bodybuilders, competitors, athletes, anyone who already knows what protein, fat and carbs mean and watches them every day. If you want a full food diary with social features, recipes and barcodes, Macroji is not that. It is the tool you reach for in the moment between meals.
What it does
- Solver — give it the foods you want, get the grams that hit your protein target with the fewest calories.
- Adviser — get ranked single foods and 2-food combos from a USDA database that fit your remaining macros.
- Today — a glance at where you stand. Quick-log a recent food in a single tap.
What it does not do
- It is not a coach. No streak shaming, no badges, no nags.
- It is not a recipe scaler or a barcode scanner.
- It is not an AI chatbot. The math is deterministic and runs in your browser.
- It is not a social platform.
Who built it
Macroji is built and maintained independently. The project is in active development; feedback from real users shapes what gets added. Have an idea, found a bug, or want to share what works? See the contact page.
How it stays free
For now, Macroji is free. Long term, the project may show tasteful, clearly labeled advertising or partner links to help cover its costs. When that happens, you will see it disclosed in the privacy notice.
