Privacy notice
Last updated: May 19, 2026
This is written in plain English on purpose. It tells you what Macroji collects, what it doesn't, and how to get in touch if anything here isn't clear.
The short version
- There are no accounts. You don't sign up.
- Everything you type — targets, food log, custom foods — is saved in your browser on this device. It is not sent to a server.
- We use Google Analytics only if you accept the cookie banner. Decline and nothing analytics-related loads.
- We do not run advertising. Not today.
What is stored on your device
Macroji uses something called localStorage. That is a small key-value store your browser provides to every website. It lives on your device and is not shared with us. We use it to remember:
- Your daily macro targets.
- What you have logged today and on previous days.
- Foods you have added or saved as favorites.
- Small preferences like which Solver options were last selected.
You can clear all of this at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this website. If you switch devices or browsers, this data does not follow you (because it is not on a server).
What we don't collect
- We don't collect your name, email or any account info — there is no account.
- We don't track which foods you log or what you searched for.
- We don't sell or share data, because we don't have any to sell or share.
Google Analytics (only if you accept)
If you press Accept on the cookie banner, Macroji loads Google Analytics. This is a tool from Google that tells us, in aggregate, things like which pages people visit and which device types they use. We use this to decide what to improve.
We have asked Google to anonymize IP addresses, which means your full IP isn't stored alongside the visit. We don't link analytics data to your food log or any input you make in the tool — those stay on your device.
If you press Decline, no Google scripts load at all. You can change your mind any time by clearing this site's storage in your browser, which makes the banner come back. You can read more about how Google handles this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Other third parties involved
Macroji runs on Vercel, a hosting platform. Like any web host, Vercel may see basic request information (such as your IP address and browser type) in its server logs for the purpose of delivering the site and protecting it from abuse. This is standard for any website on the internet.
We do not run any advertising scripts, Facebook pixel, or other tracking beyond the Google Analytics described above.
If we add ads later
Macroji may add Google AdSense advertising in the future to help cover its costs. If and when that happens this page will be updated with the date, and the cookie banner will gain an advertising toggle so you can decline.
Children
Macroji is intended for adults who already track their macros. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly process any information from them.
Your rights
Because Macroji does not collect personal data on a server, there is nothing for us to delete, export or correct on your behalf. To remove everything Macroji has stored on your device, clear your browser's site data for this site.
